A Sad Goodbye.....

My son is autistic and he takes music therapy (piano, guitar, drums) lessons. Well, his therapist has enlisted in the Army in the Military Intelligence Unit and today will be his last lesson with her. We have been thrilled to have her working with him as she is so good at what she does....needless to say, this will be a sad goodbye at this afternoon's lesson, as she has to report to duty by next week.

Knowing she couldn't take much with her I filled a little goodie bag for her just so she knows how much we've appreicated her and how much she'll be missed. Along with the goody bag, I made the mini card w/coordinating envelope to match. I felt the heart/note symbol is perfect. Just a quickie I put together before we go. Hope everyone is having a GREAT WEEK!

Time Goes By.....

Time just gets away from me and I no sooner make a card for someone/something and I have to give it to them or mail it and have NO time to take pics of it. Anyways this was the card I gave my parents for Valentine's Day. I asked my mom if I could have it today to take a picture of it and I'd give it back. I made several for Valentine's Day, however this is the only one I could get my hands on after the fact.

As soon as I get my act together a little better (if I can really do that) I plan to have BLOG CANDY with SPRING TIME items. Check back later.

Vellum with Friends........

I had lots of fun creating this card for a vellum swap due next week. I used the "in colors" vintage violet and cranberry crisp along with the new stamp set -- Love Matters in the SU Winter Mini Catalog.

HAPPY New Year from Mr. Turtle!!!!

My first post of the new year and I thought that Mr. Turtle would like to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year. It's been tough getting back into the groove of normal life, no more afternoon naps, no playing games with the kids all day and no more watching movies that "Santa" brought. It's been a fun time while the kids where home, too bad it was so short. Anyways, back to my newest project --- Stamps: Inky Antics; Cardstock: SU -- cool carribean and certainly celery.
